Project Eliminate Marathon Runner

Celebrity marathon runner, George Melichar, will be running from Windsor to Chicago down Michigan Avenue beginning on July 12,2013.  We expect him to pass through Dearborn @10 a.m.-11 a.m. on that date.  He is running in support of Project Eliminate,  an initiative of Kiwanis  International and UNICEF designed to eradicate maternal and neonatal tetanus in the world.  For $1.80, treatment can be administered that will save thousands of mothers and children from succumbing to tetanus.  You are invited to come out and join the Kiwanis Club of Dearborn Outer Drive as we cheer John along the route. There are four designated cheering sections all on sidewalks and on the north side of Michigan Avenue.  They are:  across from City Hall, across from the Henry Ford Centennial Library,  at the park at Brady, and in front of the car dealership at Outer Drive.
