Law Enforcement Youth Exploring Open House

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Explorer Post in Detroit, is currently accepting new cadets into its program and we are asking for your help in sending out the message.

The purpose of the Explorer program is to give students the best information we can about careers in law enforcement through hands-on projects, guest speakers, tours, and discussions. The CBP Explorer Program meets every other Tuesday, and one Saturday each month throughout the year.

The Explorer Program offers opportunities in character building, good citizenship, and fitness for young men and women ages 14 through 21 and  provides Explorers with practical training and hands-on experience in Federal law enforcement-related activities.

Our Open House will be held on Tuesday, September 17th, 2013 beginning at 5:00 p.m., at the Dauch Scouting Center – 1776 West Warren Ave., Detroit, MI.   This will be a brief meeting to acquaint prospective cadets with the Explorer Post and the people from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and to answer any questions they may have about Law Enforcement Exploring.    We will conclude with light refreshments.   Friends, guests and parents are welcome to attend this first meeting.

Please note, the CBP Explorer Program is a youth mentorship program for students between the ages of 14 and 21, and is NOT an employment opportunity with the United States Government.
