The Fair Lane Music Guild continues its 43rd anniversary season on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at 7:30 p.m.  Three of Detroit’s favorite artists, flutist Sharon Sparrow, cellist Una O’Riordan and pianist Pauline Martin, reunite in a delightful program featuring the Trio for Flute, Cello and Piano by Czech master Bohuslav Martinu, Tafanel's Flute Fantasy (inspired by the opera, Der Freischutz),the popular Grand Tango for Cello and Piano by Astor Piazzola and more!  The concert will include a dessert table sponsored by Park Place Catering of Dearborn.  This activity is also funded in part by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the Michigan Humanities Council.

Join the Fair Lane Music Guild as it celebrates the 150th anniversary of Henry Ford’s birth.

(Mr. Ford was born in Dearborn on July 30, 1863.)  Each Fair Lane Music Guild concert this season will connect in some fashion to Mr. Ford’s love of music.  The Henry Ford Estate is currently closed for renovations, but thanks to the generosity of the University of Michigan-Dearborn and the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, the Fair Lane Music Guild is being allowed to use the Pool Room for these concerts.

All Fair Lane Music Guild concerts are held at the Henry Ford Estate – Fair Lane, on the campus of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, 4901 Evergreen Road, Dearborn, MI  48128.  Tickets are $15/person, $14 for senior citizens and $9 for students.  Free lighted parking.  For more information about season tickets or individual concert ticket sales, please call the Fair Lane Music Guild at (313) 593-5330, or go to http://flmg.umd.umich.edu/
