Alternative Holiday Market

Christ Episcopal Church, Dearborn will be hosting its second annual Alternative Holiday Market on Sunday, November 18, 5-8pm. The focus of this event is to give local artisans a free venue in which to sell their Michigan-made items and a place for the community to get started on their Holiday Shopping in a relaxed atmosphere. The event starts with an Evensong service at 5pm and the Alternative Market is from 5:30 - 8pm. Come enjoy a peaceful atmosphere with live music.

There will be vendors selling jewelry, hand knit & crocheted items, decorated cookies, woven scarves, ceramics, linens, hand-made cards and paper, skincare products and aromatherapy, gourmet dog bones and much more. We will also have a Michigan wine and beer tasting room (for a donation) with FREE hors d’oeuvres. In addition, there will be 2 food vendors so you can grab a bite to eat while you shop.

The Rev. Terri Pilarski adds: "The Alternative Holiday Market, held each year at Christ Episcopal Church in Dearborn on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, is truly inspirational. The church is filled with local artists, crafters, Farmer's market vendors, and other folk who have handmade or home-grown items for sale. All of the proceeds go directly to the individual. The evening is fun-filled with music and food as well as the opportunity to do your holiday shopping and support our local artists and small businesses too!"
