“This event is truly a festival—not just a concert—because of the
variety and high spirited energy of the art and the performances by
Dearborn students,” explains DCF Executive Director EmmaJean Woodyard.
“It’s exciting for everyone involved because this is the one time during
the year that all of the schools in Dearborn showcase their arts
initiatives at one time, in one place, to demonstrate how many of our
young people are involved in the arts. It’s also offers a unique
opportunity for the students to see and hear what their peers are
doing.”

Festival activities begin at 4 p.m. with the opening of Dearborn
Public Schools City Wide Art Show at the Center’s Padzieski Gallery. The
exhibit, which remains in the Gallery through May 28, includes selected
works from K-12 students. Opening remarks occur at 4:10 p.m. in the
Michael A. Guido Theater followed by Senior Talks in the Gallery at 5:30
p.m.
