Dearborn Symphony Opening Night Dinner

Dearborn Symphony Orchestra and Friends of the Dearborn Symphony Present Opening Dinner and Concert October 10th at Dearborn Courthouse

Doors of the 19th District Court in Dearborn will swing open wide at 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10 for the
Dearborn Symphony and Friends of the Dearborn Symphony Opening Night Dinner at the Courthouse. Yes, “Dinner at the
as a background featuring colorful walls of artwork depicting the history of the court of law.

Dearborn’s 19th District Chief Judge Sam Salamey, Judge Mark Somers and Judge William Hultgren will
serve as hosts for the opening night event beginning at 6 p.m.                     

Chairpersons Gloria Nycek, Linda Freitag, and Sandy Butler, supported by Friends of the Dearborn Symphony and their President Carla O’Neill, have planned an opening night three course seated gourmet dinner at the Courthouse to launch
the Dearborn Symphony's 53nd season in grand style.  Wine for this event is donated by Westborn Market.

The Opening Night dinner will set the stage for a grand season of listening to the award-winning Dearborn
Symphony under the direction of Maestro Kypros Markou. Following dinner, the night’s program will move a short distance, at 8
p.m. to the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center Michael A. Guido Theater for performances of Copland’s El Salon Mexico, Creston’s Saxophone Concerto played by Kenneth Radnofsky, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4.


Patrons and Friends of the Symphony can enjoy an evening of dinner and a
concert for a nominal fee. Dinners are $85 each and Symphony President Sandy
Butler points out that for a mere $15 extra at $100 each, participants can
support the Symphony’s Opening Night and have their name printed on the list of
supporters’ in the program booklet. Symphony concert tickets range from $15 to
$30 each in the balcony and main level. Dearborn Sausage Company along with owner
Don Kosch and wife Mary are this year’s Opening Night sponsor.
