Commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's I Have A Dream speech

Martin Luther King Jr. delivered the memorable "I Have A Dream" speech on August 28th, 1963 to over 250,000 civil rights supports from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

The public is invited at noon on Wednesday, August 28th, 2013 to Henry Ford Village Senior Living Community for a commemoration of the historic speech.

Henry Ford Village is conducting a program in the community's chapel, with rememberances and reflections from Henry Ford Village residents who attended both occasions the speech was given.  In addition the program will feature a medley of spirituals performed by senior jazz musicians (and HFV band member), Shades of Gold, the audience will be invited to join in song, and Dr. King's speech will be heard in its entirety.

Henry Ford Village is a senior living community located at 15101 Ford Road in Dearborn.   For more information, call 313-584-1000, or visit our website at www.henryfordvillage.com
