It's pothole season!
Do you avoid certain roads or areas every time you drive in the Dearborn area for fear of hitting a really bad pothole?
Residents can report potholes to the City of Dearborn, Wayne County, or the Michigan Department of Transportation, depending on which entity is responsible for maintenance.
State roads include freeways with M, I, or US designations—such as Michigan Avenue (US-12) and the Southfield Freeway (M-39).
- To alert the city's Department of Public Works of a pothole, call 313-943-2107.
- For a pothole on a Wayne County road, call 734-955-9920.
- For state highways, report potholes online to the Michigan Department of Transportation here.
- If you see a hazardous pothole anywhere in the city—one that threatens to pop tires or cause accidents—call the Wayne County Roads Division at 1-888-ROAD CREW.
