When Do Dearborn Public Service Days, Leaf Removal and Yard Waste Pickup End?

Important dates to know this winter in Dearborn.

Move your cars, rake your leaves, put out your yard waste. But when does it all stop for 2012?

Here are the important dates you need to know, Dearborn residents:

Public Service Days: End Friday, Nov. 30, and resume again on April 1, 2013.

Until then, residents will not be required to remove their parked vehicles from the streets on their trash collection day. However, according to Jim Murray, the director of the Department of Public Works, it is still a good idea to keep vehicles off the streets to allow for more efficient trash pickup.

Loose Leaf Pickup: Ends Friday, Dec. 7, so be sure to rake your last fallen leaves to the curb before then. Another good reason to still keep your car out of the street on your trash pickup day.

Yard Waste Collection: Ends Friday, Dec. 14 and resumes March 18, 2013. Remember to put yard waste—including leaves and properly bundled branches—into properly marked yard waste containers or bags.
