What's Open for the Holidays?
A look at store, city and movie theater hours in Dearborn over the holidays.
So, it's Christmas–but the world doesn't stop just because it's a holiday. You have errands to run, calories to work off and sugar-filled children to entertain.
Here's a look at what's open and what's closed over the holidays in Dearborn.
City Buildings

City offices–including Dearborn City Hall, the 19th District Court, the Senior Center and all libraries–are closed Dec. 23-26, as well as Dec. 30-Jan. 2. Offices will keep normal 8 a.m.-5 p.m. hours on all other days.
Post offices

All post offices are open normal business hours during the week, from 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m., as well as 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays.
Ford Community and Performing Arts Center
The Center will be closed Dec. 24 and 25, but will reopen for normal hours on Monday, Dec. 26. The Center will be open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 31, as well as 12-6 p.m. Jan. 1. However, no aerobics classes will take place those days.
Dearborn Ice Skating Center
is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but offers plenty of opportunities for public skating during the rest of the holiday season.
Open skating is available 4-5:20 p.m. Dec. 26 and 27; 1-2:20 p.m. Dec. 28-30; 12-1:20 p.m. New Year's Eve. There will be no public skating on New Year's Day.
Skating fees are $4 for Dearborn residents, $5 for non-residents and $2 for seniors and children under $5. Skate rentals are $3.
Fairlane Town Center
For your last-minute holiday shopping, is open Dec. 24 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will be closed on Christmas Day.
Mall hours on Dec. 26-30 are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., as well as 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on New Year's Day.
AMC Fairlane
The AMC Fairlane location will have reduced showtimes on Christmas Day. Shows begin as early as 10 a.m. and start as late as 8 p.m., with showings of such films as Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, Arthur Christmas, New Year's Eve and The Adventures of Tintin.
