What's Closed on MLK Day in Dearborn?

Have the day off of work? You're not alone.

Dearborn City Hall, the 19th District Court, all three branches of the Dearborn Public Library, and the Dearborn Senior Center will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

The Ford Community and Performing Arts Center will be open 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., even though the senior center is closed.

Other government offices—including post offices and Secretary of State offices—are also closed on MLK Day, and mail will not be delivered.

There will also be no school at all Dearborn Public Schools on Jan. 21.

Also, students of the Henry Ford Community College and University of Michigan-Dearborn should remember that all classes are cancelled for that day. Instead, many students are participating in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. For more information on the volunteer project, visit www.umd.umich.edu/mlk.
