It's the end of the week. You're bored. You want something to do. Dearborn, you've come to the right place.

Here are some of the highlights of the week.

Where/When: , , Redford and Croswell, 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday

Why Go: Catch the first glimpse of your favorite local team playing for the win! DHS will begin the season on Thursday with a home game against Chippewa Valley, while will face off against Thurston High School in Redford the same night. Where/When: Petco, 35725 Warren Road, Westland and Pet Supplies "Plus," 29493 Seven Mile Road, Livonia, 12-5 p.m. and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday

Why Go: This is the last week to take advantage of "buy one, get one" adoption fees for cats and kittens, with extremely reduced fees. Plus, you're helping out the shelter. It's win-win.

Why Go: Girls ages 6-12 can audition to strut their stuff at the Oct. 15-16 fashion show, where funds raised will benefit Dearborn's annual festival of trees. Click for registration information.

Pricing: $35 model fee; free to attend

Where/When: Muirhead Plaza (next to ), 6:30 p.m. Friday

Why Go: Catch the last concert of the season courtesy of the . Crush will play and the weather will be beautiful.

Where/When: , 2-5 p.m. Saturday

Why Go: Get in a round of 18 and help raise funds for . Registration begins at 1 p.m., while the day includes lunch at the turn and a buffet dinner. Register here.
