Not only does that generate tons more trash, but according to a study by the Environmental Working Group, bottled water contains the same amount of pollution as tap water.
To maximize the refreshing qualities of water without forking over cash for the bottled stuff, the Environmental Protection Agency recommends keeping a pitcher of drinking water in the refrigerator instead of letting the faucet run until the water is cool.
