Super Cooper the Big, Red Dog Up for Adoption

This handsome retriever mix is available for adoption from the Dearborn Animal Shelter.

Meet Super Cooper, a retriever mix who may have some Rhodesian ridgeback in his blood. He's a big, red dog–young and active–who loves to exercise and is quick to smile.

Currently available for adoption from the , Super Cooper, he would do best in a home without cats, based on how he reacted to shelter felines. Cooper would also likely be better off in a home without children under 12.

The adoption fee for an adult dog such as Super Cooper is normally $140, but has been reduced to $63–and includes three months of free dog food. Adoption fees include a basic medical exam, behavior assessment, age-appropriate vaccinations, parasite and worm check, spay or neuter, heartworm check, microchip ID, collar and tag plus dog-care information.

Adopters are also eligible for pet insurance from PetFirst HealthCare at an introductory price of $5 for the first month. The price includes accident and illness coverage with any veterinarian. Adopters must register their pet within 20 days of adoption by calling 866-937-PETS, or visiting www.petfirstadoption.com.
