Storms Cause Thousands of Power Outages on Dearborn, Heights Border

DTE Energy said they cannot confirm a specific time that power will come back on.

Wednesday night and early Thursday morning storms and high winds have caused power outages in Dearborn's southwest corner, along with parts of bordering Dearborn Heights.

Nearly 4,000 DTE Energy customers are affected by the outages, the majority of them being in Dearborn Heights. The outage areas stretch from Telegraph Road to Monroe Street, and from Notre Dame to I-94.

DTE representative Scott Simons said there have been thousands of outages reported throughout the region, as is common during storm season. Simons said DTE cannot predict how long outages will take to repair, but they are working on the problem.
