Though Fourth of July weekend means heading out of town for many people, plenty of Dearborners decided to stick around–at least for the July 1 .

The first day of July at the market was a busy one. Songster Jimmy Dearborn sang live tunes for the crowd, Taylor's Matador Mexican restaurant served up fresh guacamole, and kids enjoyed playing with sidewalk chalk and checking out the inside of a Dearborn police squad car.
