More Than 2,000 Without Power in West Dearborn Tuesday

DTE Energy expects that power will be restored to all homes by Wednesday night.

Update: According to DTE Energy, power was restored to nearly all affected Dearborn homes by Wednesday afternoon.

Area outages in west Dearborn have affected more than 2,400 DTE Energy customers in the city Tuesday, mainly in residential homes.

Outages are widespread in the area west of Telegraph Road between Ford Road and Michigan Avenue, as well as a small section east of Telegraph and north of Michigan Avenue, according to DTE's outage map.

Outages were reported starting around 4-6 p.m. Tuesday. DTE representatives said power was expected to be back on in most homes by 9-11 p.m. Wednesday.

The extended outages and delay in restoration is due to the large number of homes left without power after , which has caused backups in work for DTE crews.
