Tucker Cipriano, 19, and Mitchell Young, 21, charged in on Cipriano's family, will be back in Sixth Circuit Court in Pontiac Tuesday, 1:30 p.m., for a pretrial examination.
Both to charges of first-degree, premeditated murder, attempted murder and armed robbery, in connection with the April 16 murder of Tucker's father and Dearborn Public Schools Business Director Bob Cipriano, as well as attacks that critically injured his mother, Rose, and brother Salvatore, 17, in the family's Farmington Hills home.
Tucker Cipriano’s attorney, Mitchell Ribitwer, requested that his client undergo a competency exam to determine whether long-term drug use could have affected his client's mental state. Young's attorney Michael McCarthy said after the June 19 arraignment that he plans to request a separate trial for his client.
According to posts in a Facebook group updated by family members, Rose and Salvatore Cipriano continue to recover in a rehab facility.
