Local Fitness Boot Camp Donates $1,000 to Dearborn Goodfellows with Fundraiser

Weapons 4 Weight Loss will donate $50 for every new membership it receives through April 18.

Nick Lopez, founder of Dearborn-based Weapons 4 Weight Loss, a fitness boot camp/personal training program, will donate $1,000 to the Dearborn Goodfellows through a month-long membership drive.

Lopez will donate $50 for every new client that joins his high-energy bootcamp program from now through April 18.

“This is a great way to give back to the community while getting in awesome shape just in time for summer,” Lopez said.

The Weapons 4 Weight Loss program is tailored to all fitness levels and incorporates fat-burning exercises in a sweat-inducing workout. A full nutrition guide and personalized meal plans are also included to ensure maximum fat loss, Lopez said.

Since the 1920s, the Dearborn Goodfellows have provided assistance to Dearborn children in need. Volunteers provide year-round support for children and their families facing economic hardships and emergencies.

The indoor fitness camp meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Sokol Detroit Gymnastic Center, 23600 W. Warren Ave., in Dearborn Heights. Sessions are held at 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., and include muscle strengthening and toning, cardiovascular conditioning, core stabilization, balance and flexibility training.
