Immigration Activists Plan Rally at ACCESS in Dearborn Tuesday

Representatives from United Auto Workers and Michigan United will meet at the ACCESS building at 7 p.m.

Dozens of Michigan families will gather in Dearborn on Tuesday to support a group of activists who are organizing a march on Washington D.C. in support of immigration reform.

The send-off event is being organized by Michigan United, and the United Auto Workers, and will take place at 7 p.m. at the ACCESS building, 2651 Saulino Court.

Roughly 500 families, students, community activists and other immigration reform advocates will meet with U.S. senators this week as Congress prepares to debate proposals to address more than 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United States.
