Great Escape: Wine Tasting for a Good Cause
The Great Escape Spa Wine Tasting will give parents a chance to get out without the kids, and help to raise money for nonprofit organization Child's Hope.
Each week, we’ll tell you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break, and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier.
Nothing’s better than the feeling of pampering yourself–and knowing that you’re helping out a good cause at the same time. Appropriately, this week's Great Escape takes us to the Great Escape Spa Wine Tasting, where you can do just that.
The event, held at 5 p.m. Feb. 12 at the spa, includes appetizers, mingling, a wine tasting and a chance to win some great prizes–like a one-hour massage or facial, pedicure or manicure, or a gift basket full of goodies. All proceeds will benefit Child’s Hope, a Dearborn-based nonprofit, which works to prevent child abuse in Wayne County.

Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple, and guests are asked to bring one or two bottles of their favorite wine with the labels covered for the tasting. To reserve a ticket, call the spa at 313-792-1750, or call Linda Freitag 313-827-4205.
