The Church of the Divine Child community held their annual tree-lighting ceremony and mass on Sunday evening.

Despite persistent rain and technical difficulties, the community hosted their annual tree-lighting ceremony on Sunday night to kick off the Advent season.

Meant to mark the start to the Christmas season, the event included carols by the church choir, a performance by the Divine Child band, and an Advent Night Prayer, which followed the tree-lighting.

The lighting itself was cut short when rainy conditions prevented the purple luminaries on the tree from actually lighting up. However, the technical problems didn't hinder the festive mood of the evening.
