I like Cold Stone, but honestly I need to get over to Stucchi's! :)
Connie Marx July 16, 2011 at 07:08 pm
Dairy Queen or Baskin Robbins!!
grapenut July 16, 2011 at 08:08 pm
Stucchi's tastes great, good price and good quantity.. LIKE that ! The chain's BR,DQ are over priced for the quality and have to give coupons to customers so that people think they are getting a deal. Cold stone is OVER priced but yummy so that is not a choice for me. Haven't done Susie Q but heard it's good. I go for Stucchi's variety, price, quality, quantity!

Susie q's, no doubt! Nothing beats banana pudding ice cream with a fresh made chocolate sprinkled waffle cone for a very reasonable price! Also, very cutesy inside. Lots of pinks and greens and sizes like "pawn", "princess" and "queen" !! It is by far the best around. Such a great find :)

Susie Q's is not worth the trip. Every time I go there something is wrong. Yesterday I got soft serve and it was a pile of liquid mush. Two weeks before they were out of chocolate ice cream for over a week. Seriously what kind of guy wants to order a princess or queen size anything, and the fish tank is horribly dirty and disgusting. If this place survives the fall I'll seriously be surprised.

Frank: Can you tell me which place is your favorite ice cream stop in Dearborn? Remember - this is supposed to be a contest!

This is for ice cream in Dearborn right? Because Susie Qs is in Allen Park. I get the frozen yogurt at Stucchis which is hand dipped and tastes great. There is also a way better selection there then other places so everyone gets what they want.

Peaches.. good point! AP is so close and very used by DB res that it just feels a part of our city. I agree 'Stucchis"!
Cailee Drzinski July 18, 2011 at 04:47 am
Haha whoops! Wasn't even thinking! I guess my response would have to be stucchis then, nut sometimes there ice cream is like... Freezer burned and they're out of the flavors I like. There board lists many but they usually only have half of them.
Cailee Drzinski July 18, 2011 at 04:48 am
The fish tank is totally brand new. It was crystal clear a week ago? Maybe you went at a bad time? And the last time I got liquid mush from there was after them not having power thanks to the storm.

Stucchi's is the best! It's owned by a local family, which is another reason we like going there. Great sorbet for the non-dairy one in our family, and wonderful ice creams and frozen yogurts. Good prices for the size of scoops too!

Greenfield Village has the BEST ice cream ever! Although technically is frozen custard.
Tracy Besek July 21, 2011 at 02:26 pm
Cold Stone for their great mixes. Greenfield Village for some great basic custard!! Yum!!

Way too much for a college having financial problems.

Hasn't even worked one day? Not one day in 15 years? Really? Not even credit for one day? When IRead More worked at the Press & Guide (which eliminated my position in a budget restructuring that has continued under various corporate owners at the P&G for a decade and a half, resulting in them moving their offices to Southgate and more recently just out-and-out eliminating their editor, sports editor and photographer) we had a policy of no anonymous letters to the editor. This was done because, while everyone has the right to express their opinion, putting a real name with an opinion meant people displayed more decorum and, well, less cowardice than is allowed in online comments from the shadows. Joseph, the benefit of post-employment health care after just eight years of service may have, in the early 1990s, been more acceptable in some way I can't figure (retention of key department heads has been cited as a reason, as was that it apparently mirrored a benefit for state officials), but it clearly was part of the excesses of Wayne County that was unjustifiable and unsustainable in the 2000s. This practice was ended two years ago by a resolution I introduced.

Yeah, unless the drinking trough is filled with taxpayer water.

Joseph, Are you bordering upon slander? Is this the reason for no more info? I hope you are not.Read More Perhaps you are picking up on some nasty rumors and repeating them here. You should know better than to do that. So, if you have real proof, tell it like it is and don't hedge. What you are saying in your post is dangerous to you and those who you are referring to, so, as the saying goes...put up or shut up.

Whether or not the facts of this opinion piece are true, I thoroughly believe Robert McNamara wasRead More the personal trainer for Kwame Kilpatrick. McNamera would have been spending a lot of time in prison if he didn't die. Ficano is a joke in my estimation. I know no one who wants him to remain in office. With today's survellience techniques and high tech gadgets, politicians can no longer get away with what they did in the past.
