Construction this weekend on I-94 will affect Dearborn-area drivers–but not those heading to the Detroit Lions game on Sunday, the Michigan Department of Transportation confirmed this week.
Divers can expect to see single lane closures from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on eastbound and westbound I-94 all weekend between I-96 and Michigan Avenue. A double lane closure will be in effect during the nighttime hours from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday in the same section of the freeway.
However, the lane closure for eastbound I-94 will be suspended between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday to help alleviate congestion caused by Lions fans trying to get to the game at Ford Field in Detroit.
Drive safe, and go Lions!
