When one ramp closes, another ramp opens.
OK, that's now how the saying goes. But that is the case for ongoing construction work on the I-94/M-39 interchange.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the ramps from eastbound I-94 to southbound M-39 (Southfield Freeway) and from eastbound I-94 to Pelham Road will close beginning at 4 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, for ongoing bridge work. The ramps are expected to reopen in mid-June.
Conversely, the westbound I-94 ramp to southbound M-39, and the westbound I-94 ramp to Pelham Road, are both expected to reopen on Tuesday, May 8. The ramp from eastbound Van Born Road to southbound M-39 will open on Friday, May 11.
