Charmine's a Soft, Sweet Cat Clamoring for Cuddles

This domestic long hair cat is available for adoption from the Dearborn Animal Shelter.

Those who claim that cats are not affectionate obviously haven't met Charmine.

This 6-year-old domestic long hair cat loves to love. And with her pretty gray coat, a new owner will enjoy petting, brushing and cuddling her just as much.

The adoption fee for an adult cat such as Charmine is currently $25. Adoption fees include a basic medical exam, behavior assessment, age-appropriate vaccinations, parasite and worm check, spay or neuter, microchip ID, travel box, cat comforter and cat care information. An optional, but recommended, combination feline AIDS and feline leukemia test (for cats 12 weeks and older) is an additional $20.

Adopters are also eligible for pet insurance from PetFirst HealthCare at an introductory price of $5 for the first month. The price includes accident and illness coverage with any veterinarian. Adopters must register their pet within 20 days of adoption by calling 866-937-PETS or visiting www.petfirstadoption.com.
