Adopt Ingrid from the Dearborn Animal Shelter

This gray mackerel tabby kitten is ready to go to her new home.

There's something to be said for a kitten so easy-going that she falls asleep in her litter box.

And that's Ingrid–a gray mackerel tabby up for adoption from the .

Ingrid is 11 weeks old, and already showing her personality: absolutely loveable. She didn't even care when volunteers came to take her photo to help her get adopted–probably because she was dreaming of her soon-to-be forever home.

The adoption fee for a kitten such as Ingrid is currently $55. Adoption fees include a basic medical exam, behavior assessment, age-appropriate vaccinations, parasite and worm check, spay or neuter, microchip ID, travel box, cat comforter and cat care information. An optional, but recommended, combination feline AIDS and feline leukemia test (for cats 12 weeks and older) is an additional $20.

Adopters are also eligible for pet insurance from PetFirst HealthCare at an introductory price of $5 for the first month. The price includes accident and illness coverage with any veterinarian. Adopters must register their pet within 20 days of adoption by calling 866-937-PETS, or visiting www.petfirstadoption.com.
