ACO Home, Garden & Hardware Aims to Warm Hands and Hearts of Detroit Children This Holiday

ACO Home, Garden & Hardware (http://acohardware.com) has partnered with Mittens for Detroit this holiday season to support the underprivileged in the communities in which it works.

“Giving back to the community has been one of our priorities since we opened our first store in 1946,” said ACO CEO Dick Snyder.  “We have always prided ourselves in being a part of the communities in which we do business and are glad to see this philosophy of paying it forward spread to our staff and customers.  We want to help our neighbors.”

All of ACO’s 37 stores in metro Detroit, including Dearborn (22611 Michigan Ave.) and Dearborn Heights (26520 Ford Rd.), also are partnering with Mittens for Detroit to collect new mittens and gloves to be distributed to Detroit area charities.

Mittens for Detroit is a community initiative whose sole purpose is to collect and distribute new, unused gloves and mittens to those in need – both children and adults – in Detroit.
