Oakwood Celebrates Opening of Corporate Services Atrium

The addition marks the completion of the company's new headquarters in Dearborn.

this week celebrated the opening of its new Corporate Services Atrium.

The atrium connects the two office buildings on Lundy Parkway in Dearborn that serve as the health care system's corporate headquarters.

Oakwood moved its headquarters in October 2011 after leasing two buildings owned by Ford Land. The move to the 135,000-square-foot total space was "designed to reduce costs and promote a more collaborative work environment," according to a release issued by Ford Land.

The grand opening for the atrium was attended by Oakwood and Dearborn officials, including state Rep. George Darany, state Sen. Morris Hood and Dearborn Mayor Jack O'Reilly.

Darany and Hood presented a State of Michigan tribute to commemorate the grand opening.
