Putting the word "free" in front of anything makes whatever that thing is better. For example: free beer, free pizza, free cookie. See what I mean?
Apparently, officials at 7-Eleven, Caribou Coffee, and several other coffee shops have caught onto this little secret, and just in time: Saturday is National Coffee Day.
More than 8,000 participating 7-Eleven stores nationwide will give away a 20-ounce cup of coffee from 6 to 10 a.m. Sept. 28. Limit one per customer.
Dearborn has three 7-Eleven locations:
- 3850 Monroe Street
- 2600 S. Telegraph Road
- 6200 Greenfield Road
Also on Friday, between 6 a.m.-3 p.m., customers at many metro Detroit Biggby locations—including the one in Dearborn–can receve a free short coffee when they return a completed “Dollars for Jobs – Pass It Forward” envelope to the store or make a contribution to Goodwill donation boxes on site.
The “Dollars for Jobs” campaign envelopes are designed to be filled with dollar bills and passed from person to person until reaching 25 people.
In addition, Biggby will donate $1 for every “like” they receive on their Southeast Michigan Biggby Locations Facebook page during the same time period.
On Saturday, you can swing by Caribou Coffee shops for a free small cup of limited-time-only Amy’s Blend coffee using the attached coupon, either printed or on your smart phone.
Dearborn's Caribou Coffee is located in the food court of the Fairlane Town Center at 18900 Michigan Ave.
Lastly, Einstein Bros. Bagels (with two locations in Dearborn—on Ford Road and Telegraph Road) has declared this week "National Coffee Week" and is offering a different drink special every day as well as a BOGO deal on pumpkin lattes this Saturday. So grab your free cup of joe! Because free makes everything better. Especially coffee.
