Former Detroit Red Wing Darren McCarty to Visit Dearborn ValuLand
Fans can meet the former NHL hockey player from 5 to 7 p.m. on May 28 at the ValuLand on Michigan Avenue.
Detroit Red Wings fans will have a chance to meet former defenseman Darren McCarty during an autograph session at ValuLand in Dearborn on May 28.
McCarty, who helped bring four Stanley Cups to Detroit during his career in the NHL, will visit with fans at the Michigan Avenue store from 5 to 7 p.m.
"We'll have a variety of Red Wings games and activities going on, and fans can have their memoribila signed by Darren," store manager Ryan Wingett said.

ValuLand's Dearborn location opened in February at 22541 Michigan Ave. next to the Aco Hardware store. Since then, Wingett said business has been growing.
"We're looking forward to a former Red Wing great visiting our store," Wingett said. "It's great promotion for us, and a lot of fun for hockey fans."
