Fifth Annual 'Hogs 4 Dogs' Fundraiser Set for Thursday

Tickets are on sale for the fundraiser benefiting the Dearborn Animal Shelter.

On Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Pat and Dan Kiernan, owners of Kiernan’s Steak House are hosting the fifth annual "Hogs for Dogs" event to help rescued animals in the care of the Dearborn Animal Shelter.

The event takes place on the patio of Silky’s Martini & Music Cafe, 21931 Michigan Ave., in Dearborn. All are welcome, including Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiasts and animal lovers alike.

If you have a “hog," ride it to the event. If you have a crowd-friendly dog, bring it to the event. For music lovers, “Dog Bone” George Nigosian and Friends will be performing live, along with special guest local musician Pat Brennan. To help capture the moment, pop into a photo booth provided by Eman Naura of Exposure Photo Booths, with all donations benefiting the shelter.

Guests can also try their luck at 50/50 raffles, bid on items donated by local merchants during the tin-can auction, and have a chance to win some super door prizes too.

Biker Bob's Harley-Davidson dealership of Taylor is once again bringing a fan favorite experience, the Harley simulator. In the simulator, riders can feel the thrill of the wind blowing in your hair without leaving the parking lot.
