Dearborn Photo Featured on Cover of Yellowbook

Dearborn's Henry Ford Museum is on the cover, along with photos of Canton, Wyandotte and Plymouth.

If you let your fingers do the walking the next time you're looking up a phone number for an area business, take a good look at the front cover of the 2012-13 suburban Wayne County Yellowbook.

A photo of Dearborn's is prominently displayed, along with photos of Canton, Wyandotte and Plymouth.

Yellowbook spokesman Patrick Rissmiller said his company solicits photos from communities and organizations.

"We want our covers to celebrate the local communities covered by the directory, whether they be represented by a well-known landmark, a community festival, a popular venue, a local college or university, etc.," he said.

Rissmiller said shots were chosen of easily recognizable landmarks in the area–and The Henry Ford's clock tower is certainly that.

Erected as a replica of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, the clocktower will soon be the connecting point between The Henry Ford and , which is slated for completion in August 2013.
