Two Dearborn hotels were named among AAA's Four Diamond Lodgings for 2012, according to a list released Jan. 20.
and the join 12 other Michigan hotels and six restaurants to receive the automotive association's second highest rating.
No Michigan establishments received a Five Diamond ranking for 2012.
The Dearborn Inn has been diamond ranked by AAA since 2003; The Henry, since 1989, although it was then run as a Ritz-Carlton hotel. Both hotels are under the Marriott umbrella.
AAA's diamond rating system evaluates lodgings and restaurants using trained inspectors. Cleanliness, comfort and security of lodgings are rated during an unannounced inspection.

Other Four Diamond hotels in Michigan as of 2012 include the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham; the MGM Grand, MotorCity Casino Hotel and Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit; the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and JW Marriott in Grand Rapids; the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island; Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mount Pleasant; The Inn at St. John's in Plymouth; the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester; the Westin Detroit Metrolitan Airport Hotel in Romulus; and the Westin Southfield Detroit in Southfield.
Four Diamond restaurants include Cortina Cafe in Farmington Hills; Cygnus 27 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids; The Lark in West Bloomfield; Iridescence at Motor City Casino and SaltWater at MGM Grand in Detroit; and the Rugby Grille at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.
