Dearborn Cash Mob Invited to Patronize Ken Baron's Florist & Gifts
Customers should bring $20 to shop at the Dearborn Heights gift shop on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
The Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce will launch its first "cash mob" on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
The mob will shop at Ken Baron's Florist & Gifts located at 24724 W. Warren Ave. in Dearborn Heights at 2 p.m.
Customers should come prepared to spend $20, or any amount they feel comfortable spending. Items include flowers, gifts and snacks.
On the 20th of every month, the chamber will select one business in Dearborn or Dearborn Heights to "mob." At a predetermined time, consumers are encouraged, through social media notices, to show up with cash in hand to support that business by buying its products and services.
Just prior to the date, the designated retailer will be announced on the chamber's Facebook page, on Twitter and LinkedIn.
