Semi-Truck Strikes Power Line, Causes Outage on Michigan Avenue

No injuries were reported in the accident Tuesday afternoon.

A United Van Lines semi-truck collided with a DTE Energy electric poll in the parking lot of First United Methodist Church in Dearborn on Tuesday.

The accident occurred around 4 p.m. and caused intermittent power outages along Michigan Avenue and Howard streets.

Dearborn police and firefighters on scene blocked off traffic between West Michigan Avenue, Howard and Military streets.

DTE Energy crews were on scene as of 4 pm to help remove the damaged line. No injuries were reported.
