Hundreds of students returned to Dearborn Public Schools with smiling faces on Tuesday.

The first day of the 2013-2014 academic year included a meet and greet with teachers, "welcome back" rallies, and icebreaker games.

Dearborn Patch was on hand to capture some of the excitement for students beginning the new year.
