Players Guild of Dearborn Announces 2013-14 Season

The group is accepting applications for directors for their upcoming shows.

The Players Guild of Dearborn has announced the lineup for the 86th season, and is currently looking for directors, music directors and choreographers.

Here's a look at the shows audiences can expect this and next year:


Book and Lyrics by Tom Jones, Music by Harvey Schmidt
Auditions: July 22 and 23, 2013
Shows: Sept. 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29, 2013

The Mystery of Edwin Drood

Book, Music and Lyrics by Rupert Holmes
Auditions: Sept. 16 and 17, 2013
Shows: Nov. 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and Dec. 1, 2013

Boeing Boeing

Auditions: Nov. 11 and 12, 2013
Shows: Jan. 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26, 2014

Rabbit Hole

by David Lindsay-Abaire
Auditions: Jan. 13 and 14, 2014
Shows: March 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 and 23, 2014

Kiss Me Kate

Book by Bella and Sam Spewack, music and lyrics by Cole Porter
Auditions: March 10 and 11, 2014
Shows: May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24 and 25, 2014

Audition dates are tentatively set and may be subject to change.

According to the PGD:

It is highly recommended that all applicants review the information specific to the show for which they are applying. All the materials you need to apply for a position are available on the website. If you would like to review a perusal script or have difficulty downloading the files, please contact our Casting Governor, Bob Jones, at 313-806-4158. There are limited perusal scripts available, so if you would like to review one, please contact Bob to allow enough time to receive a script.

The deadline for submissions is Feb. 15, 2013. Please send your completed application to the following address.
