Opera Series Returns Thursday to the Dearborn Public Library

Viva Verdi performances are free, and will continue on Dec. 20.

Bellini Opera Theatre of Michigan will present “Viva Verdi, the Man and his Music” a 200th Anniversary Celebration at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18 at the Henry Ford Centennial Library Auditorium.

This free, one-hour presentation is fifth in a series of performances titled Discovering Opera and the Classics.

Featured this month are performances by soprano Eva Evola, baritone Dino Valle and pianist Neil Eisenstein. The presentation is sponsored by the Friends of the Library-Dearborn.

In addition to the Nov. 15 concert, the Viva Verdi series will continue with a concluding performance on Dec. 20.

Bellini Opera Theatre of Michigan was founded by Ross Lo Duca and Valle. They hope to foster the enjoyment of operatic music for today’s audience through a series of concerts, recitals, full staged opera, lectures and other out-reach programs in Michigan, Florida and Italy.

The Henry Ford Centennial Library is located at 16301 Michigan Ave. in Dearborn. For more information, call 313-943-2330.
