Music in Dearborn: Four Concerts, One Day

Thursday will be a musical day in Dearborn, with concerts at the Henry Ford Centennial Library, Dearborn Hills, The Henry Hotel and O.L. Smith Middle School.

Are your ears perking up? They may be preparing for the sounds of four separate musical celebrations set to happen in Dearborn Thursday evening.

Heat, rain or shine (emphasis on heat), all sources say that the show must go on–even the outdoor ones. The only problem now is choosing which one to attend.

  • continues its series with a performance by Pete and the Parrot Heads. This Jimmy Buffett tribute band has been performing for audiences across the U.S. for years. See them free today at 4:30 p.m. in The Henry's courtyard.
  • The will culminate tonight with a final concert. Come see what these incoming sixth graders have been working on for weeks. The free concert starts at 7 p.m. at .
  • Artists from the Bellini Opera Theatre will present in the auditorium tonight at 7 p.m. This free concert will include performances by soprano Kim Swan and baritone Dino Valle, accompanied by pianist Jacqueline Csurgai-Schmitt.
  • will perform at the as the kickoff to the Music Under the Stars concert series. This free concert is B.Y.O. lawn chairs and blankets (or spray fans). The fun starts at 7:30 p.m.
