Local Couple Displays Wiry Creativity at the Dearborn Farmers Market
Wired Art Works returns for another season at the market.
While most people spent the post-2008 election season mourning their candidates' losses or celebrating their wins, Dearborn resident John Orischak was more worried about something else: The trash created by all those leftover lawn signs.
Instead of letting them go to waste, Orischak because creating works of art out of them. The business grew quickly, and wife Elaine helps sell the works at the Dearborn Farmers Market, which the couple has been a part of for several years.

Sells: If it can be made out of wire, Orischak has made it. Flowers, American flags, abstract works, messages of inspiration–all have been created colorfully for Wired Art Works.
Pieces sell from about $6 to $30 each, and change seasonally.
A fan-favorite are the colorful peace signs, which pepper the grassy area where the Orischak and his wife sell his works.
