Tony Miello to Sign Copies of New Gapo the Clown Collection at Green Brain Comics
Cult favorite web cartoonist Tony Miello will be at Green Brain Comics on Wednesday, Dec. 14, to sign copies of his new collection, Gapo the Clown: Big, Fat and Greasy. .
Miello is a native New Yorker who has, according to Green Brain, been an active member of the Detroit-area cartooning community. Recently he's been working as the artist on Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive-In Theater comic book as well as the Fat Momma comic books from the SciFi Channel's Who Wants to be a Superhero.
In Gapo the Clown, the titular character hosts Gapo’s Super Happy Fun Show, a popular TV program. Parents and children love Gapo, at least the Gapo they see on television, but the folks who work behind the scenes see the clown as he really is: amoral and lacking basic decency. This leads Gapo and the people who work with him into some unfortunate situations, which they may not like, but readers definitely do find to be hilarious.
