Each year, MCBB invites band to apply for a spot in the Festival and this year welcomes four of the area’s best community bands including: Five Lakes Silver Band, the Flint Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Divisional Band, and the Oakland Community College Symphony Band.
The event is family-friendly and hosted by WRCJ classical music host, Chris Felcyn. Audience members enjoy short and energetic performances by each band and then a powerful and all-encompassing final performance with all bands (more than 200 musicians!). The final performance will be led by guest conductor, William Himes.
