Holiday Nights Bring Timeless Cheer to Greenfield Village

Holiday Nights returns to Greenfield Village once again, where the whole place turns into a Christmas wonderland.

On these special nights the Village's pathways are lit with more than 350 lanterns, lending an old-fashioned cheer to the site. Guests can explore 300 years of Christmas traditions by visiting various homes and taking part in assorted activities named after famous songs and sayings, including:

  • Think holiday cooking with the “Oh, Bring Us a Figgy Pudding” stops at the Ford Home, McGuffey Birthplace, Adams Family Home and more.
  • “Deck the Halls” takes you to the gorgeously decorated Cohen Millinery, Grimm Jewelry Store, Sarah Jordan Boarding House and the Wright Brothers Home.
  • Venture “Over the River and Through the Woods” on one of the free, historic rides , including a Model T, the 1913 Herschell-Spillman Carousel and the horse-drawn wagon.
  • “Troll the Ancient Yuletide Carol” and enjoy live musical performances village-wide, from caroling quartets to fiddlers.
  • Head over to the Frost Home to visit Santa and his reindeer, part of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
  • “Find Tidings of Comfort and Joy” with holiday displays at Cotswold Cottage, the Tintype Studio, Richart Wagon Ship and Smiths Creek Depot.
  • Also, “Have a Cup of Cheer” with hot chocolate or other beverages, and dine on Pork and Apple Stew at the Central Market on State Street, nibble on chestnuts or fresh-carved roast beef near Cohen Millinery and the Heinz House, indulge in sweets at Sir John Bennett’s, or savor snacks and other goodies at A Taste of History or Village Pavilion.

The best place to end the evening is at the Village Green, where you can watch the grand finale processional, take part in festive sing-along and enjoy the fireworks.
