Discover the Golden Age of Opera

Artists from the Bellini Opera Theatre will give a free presentation on Italian opera in the Henry Ford Centennial Library Auditorium at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17.

The one-hour presentation, titled Lecture and Performance on the Golden Age of Italian Opera from Claudio Monteverdi 1567-1643 to Giacomo Puccini 1858-1924, will include performances by soprano Eva Evola and baritone Dino Valle. The presentation is sponsored by the Friends of the Library-Dearborn (FOLD).

Bellini Opera was founded by opera enthusiast Roslino Lo Duca, a native of Cinisi in the province of Palermo, out of his deep love for the Sicilian customs and language and his passion for music of Vincenzo Bellini.
