Dearborn Symphony Orchestra Golden Jubilee Dinner and Concert

Dearborn Symphony’s 50th Golden Anniversary season on Friday, September 23at 8:30 pm at Dearborn’s Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. Copland’s stirring Fanfare for the Common Man, followed by Beethoven’s bright and dynamic Fidelio Overture provides a forceful prelude to his joyous masterpiece – the 9th Symphony.  An awe-inspiring work featuring the timeless melody “Ode to Joy,” it represents Beethoven’s musical expression of universal brotherhood. Heard in triumphant moments of the human spirit from the fall of the Berlin Wall to the Olympic Games, it sets the bar for the transformative power of live musical performance. The combined forces of orchestra, Vanguard Grand Chorus, and four spectacular vocalists set the stage for an unforgettable season of celebration!

The Golden Jubilee begins at 6:30 pm with a special dinner catered by Opus One. Guests will experience a rare opportunity to enjoy dinner in Dearborn’s 19th District Courthouse with its beautiful mural “Justice is Blind” in the reception rotunda and expansive views of the courtyard.   Concert tickets range from $30 - $15; special Jubilee dinner and concert tickets are $125.
