12 Strays of Christmas Holiday Boutique Benefits Animals

Where else can you shop, have a good time, and get on Santa's "nice" list all at once?

Consider the 2nd annual 12 Strays of Christmas Holiday Boutique & Gallery, held Dec. 10 and 11 at the Glass Academy, and benefiting the Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter (FFDAS).

From 11 a.m.-3 p.m. both days the shop will be open.

Items for sale include:

  • Unique and one-of-a-kind creations
  • FFDAS merchandise, including jewelry, sweaters and hats
  • "Peace on Earth" holiday cards that benefit FFDAS
  • Original works of art, including Pupcatsos created by shelter dog and cat Picassos, that include their name and photo. (Prints come matted and framed.)
  • Glass artisan pieces from the Glass Academy 

On Saturday guests can meet some of the shelter's animals, and on Sunday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. visitors can stamp a custom-designed FFDAS "fossil" paperweight. Cost to craft the paperweight is $45, with an additional $5 optional engraving fee. For details, visit here.

Guests will also enjoy complimentary refreshments, including hot cocoa.

Plus, if you present the attached flyer, 10 percent of your holiday purchase will go toward FFDAS.
