Rapper Eminem is coming home to Detroit and Rihanna will be joining him for a big concert at Detroit’s Comercia Park in Aug. 22.
The hometown performance, the rapper’s first in four years, will close out a three-stadium run that also includes concerts at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles and MetLife Stadium outside New York, the Detroit Free Press reports.
The so-called “Monster Tour” – which pays homage to the duo’s collaboration on this year’s Billboard Hot 100 – was announced Wednesday by promoter Live Nation.
Eminem and Rihanna have collaborated on three other No. 1 hits, including “Love the Way You Lie” in 2010, and also performed together in at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards and the 2011 Grammys.
Tickets won’t officially go on sale through Live Nation until 10 a.m. March 28, but pre-ticket sales will be available for American Express cardholders at 10 a.m. Thursday. Resgister now for a spot. Seats for the Detroit show will start at $49.50.
