Bank of America Gives Cardholders a Weekend of Free Admission to Local Museums

Michigan cardholders will be able to visit the Detroit Historical Museum, The Henry Ford and other local historic attractions for free Oct. 1-2.

If you're a Bank of America cardholder, clear your schedule this weekend: The national bank is hosting a program aimed to remove the burden of ticket prices from those wishing to visit local museums.

Museums On Us takes place Oct. 1-2. During the weekend, Bank of America cardholders nationwide will have the chance to visit more than 150 museums for free.

In metro Detroit, that includes Dearborn's own . Other options are the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, the Detroit Children’s Museum, the Detroit Historical Museum, the Detroit Science Center, the Flint Institute of Arts and the Motown Museum.

Museums On Us will continue on the first full weekend of November and December as well.

Photo ID and a valid Bank of America/Merrill Lynch credit or debit card must be presented. The offer includes one free general admission, limited to cardholder at participating institutions, and excluding fundraising events, special exhibitions and ticketed shows.
