Viewfinder: ACCESS Hosts Community Planting Day

Kids and adults gathered Friday afternoon to help begin a Peace Garden in the south end of Dearborn.

The hosted an afternoon of volunteering Friday at their local Peace Community Garden.

Part of the Healthy Kids Project and Youth Achieving Leadership through Learning About Environment programs, the planting session brought together youth and adults to help plant seeds and seedlings, as well as digging a perimeter of sunflower and pole bean beds to help create a colorful natural garden border.

The Peace Community Garden is located at the southwest corner of Akron and Lapeer Streets in the south end of Dearborn, across from .
